The Holy Way

God had spoken. The prophets had listened and shared this Good News with the people of God. Some ears heard, others were distracted and still some ears ignored our Lord. Hearts and minds yearned for that promised moment when the expected Lord would appear among them. They knew He would be born in the stock of King David. The Lord would be present to those whose hearts were attuned to this holy moment and time in human history. Minds, even those brittle ones, came to mere stillness in expectation. Others like rulers or rich people laughed and conducted their own business. WHY does God create you? What is God asking from you? What does God expect from you?

The Holy Way in this lifetime is a holy way on which you began to journey at the moment of your conception. This great Holy Road continues today. Where are YOU on this lifelong highway? Are you lost? Do you know for certain our Lord will be you in 20 yrs.? Listen to these ancient words… “A voice of one crying out in the desert: “Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight his paths, Every valley shall be filled and every mountain and hill shall be made low The winding, The winding roads shall be made straight, and the rough ways made smooth, and all flesh shall see the salvation of God.” Our good Lord waits for you to draw near, to come closer and to walk humbly in His company. What is your response to this divine invitation?

The way of the Lord was announced by the Angel Gabriel to the Holy Virgin Mary at the Annunciation This moment had been foretold by the prophets and received by the many faithful. St John the Baptist foretold countless people about the fulfillment of the prophet’s words. But, many viewed John the Baptist as someone to ignore, a mere fool who talks like some desperate lonely or despondent man. Yet! As modern disciples of Christ, we gather here as a community of believers, modern disciples of Christ who strive to bring fulfillment to the holy words spoken by John the Baptist and countless others. They were right! Come Holy Spirit and enlighten our minds, open our broken heart and bring healing to our spirit. Peace.
